UZA Mourns President Hage Geingob

UZA mourns the passing of His Excellency Dr. Hage G. Geingob, President of the Republic of Namibia. As a dedicated member of the South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO), he played a pivotal role in the liberation struggle, culminating in Namibia's independence on March 21, 1990.

President Geingob's legacy is deeply rooted in his commitment to addressing historical land imbalances, recognizing land reform as integral to Namibia's socio-economic progress. His government's policies aimed at ensuring a more equitable distribution of land underscore his dedication to the well-being of the Namibian people.

Throughout his tenure, President Geingob was a participant in championing pan-African initiatives, reinforcing the importance of African unity. His unwavering contributions to the African Union (AU) and Southern African Development Community (SADC) activities exemplify his dedication to fostering regional collaboration and integration.

As UZA bids farewell to a leader who embodied the spirit of Pan-Africanism, may President Hage Geingob's legacy endure, inspiring future generations. May he rest in eternal peace.
